Why does 10-Key Plus indicate that I am using a DEMO program when I start it? A product key is required to convert 10-Key Plus from DEMO mode to an unlimited version. Until you enter your product key, 10-Key Plus will start in DEMO mode and a screen will be displayed prompting you for to activate the program. To activate the program, type in your program prefix, serial number, your name, your company, and the product kye provided to you on the CD case that your CD was shipped in. Then, click the "Activate the Program" button. The program will try to activate the program through the internet. If it fails, you will be prompted for a manual activation. Top |

How can I tell if I have the most current version of 10-Key Plus? If a new version of 10-Key Plus is available for purchase, you will receive an update notice and update order blank via mail. The version number will increment by one with each new update. During the year, we will issue interim updates to make minor fixes and enhancements to the program. Interim updates are downloaded from our website and are not sent out on a CD unless specifically requested. If you need an update and do not have an upgrade order blank, you will need to call Pro-Ware at 402.861.8800 to determine what your upgrade cost is or to place an upgrade order for the most current version. You can place your order over the phone or we can fax you an upgrade order blank. What should I do if I put the 10-Key Plus CD in my computer and nothing happens? We rely on the "autoplay" feature of Windows to start the installation program when you insert the 10-Key Plus CD; however, if this Windows feature has been disabled or is not working properly, the installation program will not start. To manually start the installation program, click on My Computer (Computer in Windows Vista and above), then right-click on the drive that represents your CD-ROM drive and select Open from the menu. When the contents of the CD are displayed, double-click on AUTORUN.EXE and the installation program will start. Top |

Can I access my data files on a network if I install 10-Key Plus on my computer? Yes. If 10-Key Plus is installed on your computer, you can access data files on your local computer, a network, or any drive that you can navigate to using Windows Explorer. We recommend installing 10-Key Plus on each individual computer instead of a server because it will run faster and eliminate unnecessary network traffic. Top |

Do I need another copy of 10-Key Plus if I want to install it on another computer in my office? Yes - If you purchased the single-user version of 10-Key Plus, you will need to purchase another copy of 10-Key Plus to install it on another computer. No - If you purchased the multi-user version of 10-Key Plus, you will NOT need to purchase another copy of 10-Key Plus to install it on another computer. In fact, you can install this verison on as many computers as you wish. Top |

How do I change the calculator layout from a 10-Key to a handheld in 10-Key Plus? To change the layout of the calculator from 10-Key to a handheld calculator, select the "Handheld Calculator" from the Options Menu. Alternatively, you can use the F3 hotkey to change the layout. To return to a 10-Key layout, select the 10-Key Calculator from the options menu or press the F2 hotkey. A checkmark will indicate the current calculator layout setting. Top |

How do I keep 10-Key Plus on top so I can use it in any of my applications? Choose the "Always on Top" item from the Options Menu. A checkmark is displayed directly to the left of the option to show whether the calculator is on top or not. Top |

Can I hide the paper tape or choose more lines to display on the calculator? Yes. Select "Tape" from the options menu. From there, you can select to display 5, 10, 15, or 20 lines at once on the tape. You can also hide the tape completely by clicking the "Show/Hide Tape" feature. To display the tape after it is hidden, simply select the "Show/Hide" option again and the tape will be redisplayed. Top |

How do I change the decimals displayed on 10-Key Plus? To change the number of decimals displayed on the calculator, select "Decimals" from the Options Menu. There you can select to display any number of decimals from 0 to 6 decimal places. You can also use hotkeys to change the decimals displayed. Use CTRL + F1 for 1 decimal place, CTRL + F2 for 2 decimal places, etc. Set the number of decimals to zero by typing CTRL + F7. Top |

How can I print the contents of my calculator tape? Simply click the printer button located on the calculator to print the contents of the tape. Top |

Can I print the contents of the calculator tape to a file? Yes. Simply select the "Print to File" option when the printer dialog screen appears. You can select to print to a .pdf file for use with Adobe Acrobat, .xls to save the file for use with Microsoft Excel, .doc to save the file for use with Microsoft Word, or .txt for use with Windows Notepad. In addition, TC+ also supports printing to .html, .xml, and .rtf file formats. Top |

How do I change printers when printing in 10-Key Plus? If you wish to select a printer other than your Windows default printer when printing the calculator tape, click the ellipsis (...) button on the right side of the printer field at the top of the printer dialog box. Top |
