Mandatory 2015 Reporting Under the Affordable Care Act | ||
Background The Affordable Care Act (ACA) created new reporting requirements based on health care provided to employees in 2015. Most employers may be completely unaware that these new reporting requirements are mandated by some very hefty fines and worse yet, attempting to gather the information that needs to be reported after the fact may even more expensive. We are in the process of creating a software application that will consist of two elements related to these reporting requirements.
We expect our software application to be available on March 2, 2015; however, in the interim we have created Excel spreadsheets (one for form 1095-B, and one for form 1095-C) that can be used to begin the data gathering process. Our spreadsheets have been designed in such a way that the information entered in them can be imported into the software application that we are creating thereby avoiding duplicate entry of data.
